A doula provides non-medical support before, during and after birth. I am with you through the preparation, the labour and the weeks after — not for a shift, but for the whole of it. That means practical comfort, steady information so you can make your own decisions, and someone in the room who knows what you wanted before the contractions started. I do nothing clinical, and I never speak for you.

A midwife is a medical care provider. They monitor you and your baby, catch the baby and handle anything clinical. I am not a medical provider and I do not take a clinical role. I hold the other half: steady presence, comfort, information and continuity, so you have a steady person beside you who already knows what matters to you. A doula and a midwife have different roles and can work alongside each other.

They do different work. Your midwife or doctor may change shift, step out, or be caring for someone else at the same time. My support runs continuously through the labour and the birth. I know what you wanted before labour started, and I am still there when the room gets busy.

No. I make it easier for your partner to be with you. I show them where to press, when to speak, when to rest and when to eat, so they can stay close instead of guessing.

Many people reach out in the second trimester, but you can contact me earlier or later. The meet & greet is free and there is no obligation after it.

I prepare you for that possibility before the day, so it is familiar if it happens. Support continues through it and afterwards, and the postpartum visit matters more, not less.

From week 37 I am on call for you 24/7, and you have unlimited phone and text throughout.

Montreal Island. Support is offered in English and in Spanish.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit secures your booking, and the balance is due before week 37.

Yes, and nothing about my support changes. Position changes, counter-pressure and steady company all still matter after an epidural, and so does having someone in the room who knows what you wanted. I am not here to steer you toward one kind of birth. This is all part of labour and birth support.

An induction is often longer and harder to pace than a spontaneous labour, which is exactly when continuous support earns its place. We talk it through beforehand at the prenatal visit so it is familiar if it comes up, and I stay with you through it.

With you. We stay in touch through early labour by phone and text, I come to you when you want me there, and I am with you at the hospital until you are settled with your baby.

It depends on the support you choose, and we go through the cost together on the free meet & greet. The birth package includes a two-hour prenatal visit, on call 24/7 from week 37, full labour and birth support, a two-hour postpartum visit, unlimited phone and text throughout, and guidance for your partner. Extra visits, rebozo and overnight support can be added to the package or booked on their own, subject to availability.

Then it is not a fit, and that is a useful thing to find out. The meet & greet is free, there is no obligation afterwards, and I would rather you found the right person than the nearest one.

I support families in English and in Spanish. I do not work in French, so if you would rather be accompanied in French I am happy to point you toward someone who does.
