Full Labor & Birth Support

From week 37, I’m on call 24/7. Once you notify me of labour, I’m reachable and prepared to join you.

In early labour, support is provided virtually by phone or text. I join you in person once contractions are 5 minutes apart, lasting 60 seconds each, for at least an hour — or whenever you feel you need in-person support.

I arrive within approximately 1.5 hours and remain with you up to 2 hours after birth. For scheduled caesareans, I can support you before and after surgery, or this can be substituted with 8 hours of postpartum care.

Good to know

—If labour extends beyond 24 hours, I may need to attend to other clients by phone while remaining reachable
—In prolonged labour, my backup doula may provide in-person assistance
—If I’m ever unavailable, my assigned backup doula steps in — and if you decline backup support, you receive an extra postpartum visit at no cost
